Ragdoll Colour / Pattern Predictor

Our colour and pattern predictors are designed to help breeders and enthusiasts better understand the possible outcomes of a planned mating. By combining three separate calculators — Colour (non-red series), Red/Tortie series, and Pattern — the tools model how key genetic traits interact to produce the kittens’ visible appearance. The colour predictors estimate possible base colours and carrier states for chocolate and dilute genes, while the red series calculator accounts for the sex-linked inheritance that produces red, cream, and tortie cats. The pattern predictor then overlays white spotting and tabby influences. Together, these tools provide a clearer picture of the range of potential kitten colours and patterns, helping with breeding plans, education, and understanding how feline genetics work in practice.
